Material selection is one of the most consequential decisions in footwear manufacturing. It affects not only the aesthetic of the shoe — how it looks, feels, and photographs — but also its durability, comfort, production cost, and retail price positioning. At NIZOWI, we bring 20 years of material sourcing experience to every project. Our material library has been built over two decades of manufacturing for global markets, with supplier relationships that give our buyers access to quality materials at competitive prices.

For upper materials, we offer the full spectrum: genuine leather (cow, sheep, goat) in smooth, textured, patent, metallic, and embossed finishes for premium positioning; high-quality PU leather in a wide color range for the mid-market; soft suede and nubuck for refined casual styles; velvet and satin for occasion-wear and premium slippers; breathable canvas and cotton textiles for casual sneakers and summer styles; and technical mesh for athletic-inspired designs. All materials are tested for color fastness, abrasion resistance, and tear strength before being approved for production.

Components and hardware are equally important. We source and, where needed, custom manufacture buckles, chains, eyelets, D-rings, ornaments, rhinestones, studs, and other embellishments in a variety of finishes — gold, silver, rose gold, gunmetal, matte, and antique. Outsoles are available in rubber, TPR, EVA, and vulcanized rubber, with custom tread patterns and colors available. Insoles can be constructed with standard cushioned PU, memory foam, arch support configurations, or leather-covered footbeds. Every component is selected to match the design intent and target price point of your project.
